Who we are
Our Story: Adelita – A Legacy of Strength and Tradition
Adelita is more than just a name. It’s a tribute to the brave women who supported the revolutionary movement in Mexico in various ways and fought for freedom during the revolution—strong, resilient, and determined. Like the Adelitas, Sandra, the founder, has always been inspired by their spirit. As a Mexican living in Sweden, Sandra felt the need to carry forward their legacy by sharing something as rich and vibrant as their history: the Mexican food.
Adelita, is a company dedicated to importing authentic Mexican food products. Just like the Adelitas fought to preserve Mexico’s identity, the team is passionate about bringing the true essence of Mexican flavors to kitchens across Europe. Through Adelita, we offer premium spices, tortillas, chilis, and specialty products that celebrate our culture’s rich culinary heritage.
At Adelita, every product we sell tells a story of tradition, authenticity, and quality—whether you’re a chef looking for premium ingredients, a distributor expanding your product line, or a producer needing large-scale supplies, we are your trusted partner in delivering the authentic flavors of Mexico.

About Us
Sandra Svensson
VD/Sales
Sandra was born in Mexico City, where she developed a deep love for her country’s people, culture, and food. Her passion for community empowerment led her to start Sanxico, a venture rooted in her commitment to making a positive impact.
Sandra’s journey began with competitive tennis, which took her around the world and exposed her to diverse cuisines. She studied Marketing on a sports scholarship in the US and later earned an MBA in Mexico, equipping her with skills for entrepreneurship.
Once in Sweden, Sandra ventured into the realm of importing handicrafts and silver from Mexico. However, her entrepreneurial journey was not solely driven by business prospects. With family health considerations in mind, including a family member with celiac disease, Sandra embarked on a quest for high-quality and nutritious food, further igniting her passion for culinary excellence.
Today, Sandra’s pursuits are a harmonious blend of her passion for Mexican cuisine, her dedication to sourcing the highest quality ingredients, and her desire to make a positive difference in the lives of communities and customers alike. Through Sanxico, she not only celebrates the rich diversity of Mexican culture but also aspires to uplift the communities where she chooses her business partners and enrich the lives of her customers with wholesome, nutritious food options.
Irma Rendon
Business Controller
Irma was born in Mexico City and has always been passionate about preserving her heritage. She has lived in Europe for the last 20 years but her first work experience began in Mexico City after graduating as a Business Administrator from the prestigious Mexican university ITAM. Her first employer was the multinational Unilever and that relationship lasted 20 years where she worked as a Finance Manager in different countries in Europe (including the Nordics) and Latin America.
Driven by a passion for both business excellence and promoting health and wellness, she took a second university degree as a Nutritional Therapist in Manchester- England. She is now combining her two passions in this role by balancing financial goals with a focus on nutritious, delicious food offerings. She is dedicated to making a positive impact within Sanxico and the broader community and she strives to contribute to a healthier future while driving growth and success for our company.
“I took this role as I believe and share the Sanxico’s founder and VD Sandra’s vision on bringing the vibrant flavours, rich cultural heritage, and unparalleled quality of Mexican cuisine to the Nordic region as well as fostering a deeper appreciation for authentic, high-quality food ingredients.”
